Thousands of people participated in the "Sukkot Extravaganza" at Mitzpeh HaMasuot and Beit Orot - The Irving Moskowitz Yeshiva & Campus on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Arutz Sheva TV's Eliran Eliyahu visited the site and met religious and non-observant guests enjoying the holiday together and connecting with the historic capital with hikes, Segway tours, rides for children, a zip-line climbing wall, and Temple dirt sifting in Emek Tzurim National Park.
The fact that the area is populated mainly by Arabs did not deter the visitors, and many felt that it was important to join the activity in order to strengthen the Jewish presence in the area. In the following video, Rabbi Shlomo Zwickler the Executive Director of Yeshivat Beit Orot, speaks about the event.
