Amin al-Hindi, a senior Fatah terrorist who took part in planning the infamous Munich massacre, died Tuesday. Al-Hindi died at the age of 70 in Jordan after battling an illness.

Fatah leaders said his body would be brought to Ramallah for burial. Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah plan to set up an official municipal mourning tent for the deceased killer. PA media quoted PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas as expressing his condolences on behalf of Fatah.

Al-Hindi was born in Gaza in 1940. In 1972, he played a role in the terrorist murder of 11 unarmed Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics. The attack was perpetrated by the Fatah-linked terrorist group Black September. He served as a senior member of the Fatah armed forces, and was one of former PA Chairman Yasser Arafat's top men, in charge of Fatah forces and intelligence. He resigned in 2005 when Abbas took power.

A second Munich massacre planner, Mohammed Oudeh, died in Damascus in July at the age of 73. Like Al-Hindi, Oudeh died of natural causes. He did not express regret for his role in the bloody attack, and on the contrary, expressed hope that his descendents would fight Israel as he had.
