The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel asked the Attorney General Tuesday to launch an investigation against the organizers of  an exhibit devoted to the defamation of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

The exhibit is on display at the Beit Berl Art College's Tel Aviv gallery, and is named 'Evet' – which is Lieberman's Russian first name. All of the works on display relate to Lieberman.

One is simply a likeness of a pig. Another shows a devilish likeness of Lieberman, with a pockmarked face and red-blood eyes. A third shows the cut-out faces of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Minister for Strategic Affairs Moshe Yaalon, all of whom are depicted as saying “Ich bin ein Lieberman” – “I am a Lieberman” in German.

There is also a whip that bears Lieberman's name and a video showing a husband beating his wife, who is happy and who responds with quotes from Lieberman.

Attorney Adrian Aggasy, representing the Legal Forum, wrote that the exhibition constitutes harsh incitement against the foreign minister and oversteps the bounds of good taste. “Despite the importance of freedom of expression and its protection,” he said in the letter to the A-G, "it cannot be a refuge and an excuse for inciters, for those who hurt civil servants and for those who call for violence through the tools of their art.”

Aggasy and wrote the Minister of Education and demanded an immediate inquiry with Beit Berl. “One wonders if this is the character of the education that Beit Berl gives future teachers in the State of Israel, under the guise of educational-academic activity,” he commented.

Atty. Aggasy demanded that the minister ask for the removal of the exhibit and to consider withholding funds from Beit Berl because of what he called “an un-educational, un-cultured display of evil hatred.”
