Military officials revealed Sunday evening that an unmanned Hizbullah aircraft fell on Israeli soil two weeks ago. The aircraft crashed near the northern border.

The vehicle was found to belong to the Hizbullah television network Al-Manar. IDF officers believe the aircraft crossed the Israel-Lebanon border as a deliberate provocation. The incident took place on the fourth anniversary of the Second Lebanon War.

IDF officials said the aircraft was very small, and did not carry recording equipment or weapons.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned last week that Israel will hold the Lebanese government responsible if Hizbullah starts another war. Hizbullah is now a part of the ruling Lebanese coalition.

"We'll see the government of Lebanon responsible for what happens, and for what happens within its government, its body politic, and its arsenal of munitions. And we will see it as a legitimate to hit any target that belongs to the Lebanese state, not just to the Hizbullah,” Barak told the Washington Post.
