A first-of-its-kind meeting took place this week between European Union journalists and members of the religious-Zionist press in Israel.

The meeting was part of the Sixth European Union -- Israel Media Dialogue project. The initiative, funded by the EU, brings European journalists to meet their Israeli counterparts.

Six reporters, editors and correspondents from Spain, Hungary, Denmark, Poland and Belgium heard briefings from Yisrael Harel, founder of the Institute for Zionist Strategies and columnist for Haaretz; Pazit Ravina, a columnist for Makor Rishon, and Yisrael Meidad of the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem, a veteran journalist, activist and blogger. The meeting was moderated by Dr. Amiel Ungar, a contributing editor of the Jerusalem Report, columnist for Haaretz English edition and Makor Rishon.

Among other things, the Israeli journalists told the EU press about how Europe is reported upon in Israel, and how Israel is reported on by European media.

Arutz Sheva TV's Yoni Kempinski also participated, and told the EU representatives about the various media outlets under the Arutz Sheva / Israel National News umbrella. He and others spoke to the visitors about religious Zionist ideals, which involve living a life led by Torah values in the scientifically and technologically developed world of today.

In the following video, Kempinski speaks with some of the foreign participants.
