Aryeh Green, Director of Media Central and former aide to Natan Sharansky, spoke with Israel National Radio's Barnea Selavan on media bias against Israel at this year's Jerusalem Conference. Green said, "There are many voices saying that Israel is failing to get its message across, and that the media is biased against Israel. But I don't think the media is biased against Israel. The media is not monolithic.

"We are facing a situation that is deeper than the media. The baggage that journalists come to Israel with is part and parcel of the intellectual climate that permeates Europe and America, which accepts the Palestinian narrative and framing of our issues. It's not anti-Israel. It's pro-Palestinian. The ability to influence journalists must be based on a personal relationship with them."
