Major General (res.) Ya’akov Amidror, former Head of IDF Intelligence Research Division, told the Jerusalem Conference that counter-terror warfare depends on intelligence more than previous forms of warfare did.
Unlike classic warfare, in counter-terror warfare there is no means of compensation for a lack of intelligence, he said. The intelligence needs to be precise and timely, otherwise it is useless.
