(IsraelNN.com) IsraelNN visited the Global Conference of the World Confederation of Jewish Community Centers (WCJCC) which is taking place in Israel and spoke with Smadar Bar Akiva, the executive director of the confederation.

The main focus of the conference was how to combat the distancing of Diaspora Jews from Israel due to recent alarming trends and most recently to the effect of Israel’s deteriorating image, by utilizing the unique characteristics of the Jewish Community Center (JCC).

In the following video, Bar Akiva explains that WCJCC strives to bring more Zionist and pro-Israel ideas to the JCCs in the diaspora and more concepts of Jewish heritage to the community centers in Israel.
