The Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). in tandem with U.S.-based Gulfstream, has recently launched a new jet business plane, the 250G. David Dagan, Deputy Director of the IAI and Head of its Civilian Aircraft Division told Arutz Sheva that the 250G “belongs to the category of medium-large business jets and has improved flight performance and carries a roomy passenger cabin.

"The new plane is the most spacious, fastest-flying jet in this category and has the longest flight range. It was planned and manufactured by the IAI using some of the world's most advanced methods of development and manufacture," he added.

The maiden flight will take place in the course of the coming year, and the plane will then be presented for approval to the Israeli, American and European aviation authorities. It will enter the market at about the same time.

Dagan said that the new plane's passenger cabin has a floor area 17-35 percent larger than its competitors, and passengers can enter the luggage cabin during flight. The passenger cabin has 19 panoramic windows, an advanced mini-kitchen, an improved air pressurization system that helps passengers feel more refreshed when they get off the flights, and other gadgets that are usually only available on larger and more expensive jets.

The plane costs $24 million, Dagan said. He estimated that IAI is one of only ten firms in the world that can produce this type of business jet.
