MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) said Tuesday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's freeze on construction by Jews is racist. Ketzaleh spoke to Uzi Baruch of Israel National News as he visited the protest tent erected opposite the Prime Minister's Office by the heads of local government in Judea and Samaria. The protest was Ketzaleh's brainchild.

"Netanyahu himself said that if an American president said that Jews could not build in New York, or if a prime minister in Germany said that Jews could not build, he would be called a racist,” Ketzaleh explained. “A person who does not let Jews build because of their Jewishness is a racist. After all, [Muslim] Arabs and Druze and Christians are allowed to build and only because we are Jewish, construction in that area of Jerusalem is frozen.”
"In another 100 or 200 years people will say of this prime minister that there was a racist man here who treated Jews with racism and hatred by not letting them build a natural and normal life,” he added.
