(IsraelNN.com) During the Holocaust, Nazis forced Meyer Hack to sort the clothes of victims of the death camps. Hack took and preserved victims' personal items whenever possible, hiding the items near the prisoners' barracks.

Now, decades later, Hack has decided to donate the items to the Yad Vasham Holocaust memorial project. At a special ceremony in which the items were handed over to Yad Vashem workers, Hack said he was experiencing the happiest day of his life. The ceremony represented his victory, he explained, saying “I did come back from the dead. I took this out of the murderers' hands.”
