Two Palestinian Authority Arab men attacked Jewish soldiers and civilians in the Binyamin region on Wednesday night. The two firebombed cars near the town of Halamish.
Reservists chased the two and opened fire, hitting both. One was wounded and the other was killed.
The wounded attacker was taken to an Israeli hospital for treatment.
The firebombs caused serious damage to at least two Israeli vehicles, one military and one civilian. One soldier was lightly wounded and required hospital care.
Earlier Wednesday evening, PA Arabs threw stones towards an Israeli car driving near Kalkilyah. No injuries were caused. However, damage was caused to the vehicle. Prior to the incident, PA Arabs stoned an Israeli bus near the city of Ramallah, causing damage but no injuries. The night before, attackers lobbed firebombs at Israeli cars in Samaria.
