Thursday’s Arab terrorism: A multi-faceted attack was thwarted near Elon Moreh, at least four Israeli vehicles were stoned by Arabs, and a firebomber targeted a bus.

Shortly after 2 PM, near Elon Moreh in the Shechem area of Samaria, an IDF surveillance team noticed two terrorists preparing to shoot at Israeli vehicles.  The terrorists had placed an obstacle of rocks on the road to stop the vehicles, after which they planned to fire at them.  An IDF force pursued and caught the two, and found a Molotov cocktail in their possession. The terrorists were taken in for interrogation.

An Israeli woman was lightly wounded when terrorists stoned her car on the Michmash-Kochav HaShachar road in eastern Binyamin.  She received medical treatment at the scene, and army forces combed the area for the attackers.  Just a month ago, along the same road, Moshe Avitan of Shvut Rachel was very critically wounded by a terrorist bullet in his head; he has since made a swift and miraculous near-total recovery.

Further to the west, near Eli, a car was damaged but no one was hurt in an Arab rock attack. IDF forces combed that area as well.  Near the Jewish area of Hevron, in Judea, Arabs threw rocks and damaged an Israeli bus; no one was hurt.

Later in the afternoon, another Israeli bus was attacked with a Molotov cocktail. No one was hurt and no damage was caused.
