Ichud Leumi candidate Uri Bank met with INN TV's Yoni Kempinski to discuss his party's platform and how it differs from other nationalist and religious parties. While the Ichud Leumi (National Union – NU) does agree with other parties on some issues, it remains the only party concerned with preventing the creation of a Palestinian Authority-led state in Judea and Samaria and keeping the Land of Israel Jewish, he said.

Ichud Leumi and HaBayit HaYehudi (The Jewish Home) agree on Jewish values and the nature of the state, Bank said. But the Jewish Home has described itself as neither right- nor left-wing, and is openly sectarian – two positions that Ichud Leumi cannot support, he explained.

Secular nationalist Avigdor Lieberman of Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel is Our Home) has gained popularity by insisting that Arab citizens of Israel pledge loyalty to the state, a position Ichud Leumi has held for many years, Bank continued. However, he warned, Lieberman is not as right-wing as many perceive him to be, and openly supports the creation of an Arab state in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and even parts of the Galilee.

“If people feel that the most important issue to them is saving Eretz Yisrael and making sure that there is no Palestinian state, there's no other party for them but the Ichud Leumi, the National Union,” Bank said.
