Moshe Feiglin will remain in the 36th slot in the Likud's Knesset list, the High Court determined Sunday. The court ruled in favor of an appeal filed by the Likud against a District Court decision from Saturday evening.

Feiglin remained defiant following the decision. "The court's decision was to be expected," he said. "The High Court is the mainstay of the ruling dictatorship in Israel, regardless of any democratic process," he said.

The District Court had ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a motion filed by Michael Ratzon, another Likud member, who claimed that changes made in the Likud's list after the primary vote were illegal. The District Court ruled Saturday that the Likud must reinstate Ratzon in the 24th slot, after having bumped him down to the 37th slot. As a result, Feiglin also hoped to regain his place in the 20th slot of the party's Knesset list.

"It was obvious that this dictatorship would defend itself against a person who exposes its face and threatens to give the state of Israel back to the people of Israel," Feiglin said. "Whoever does not want Feiglin as a Knesset Member will receive him, with the help of Hashem, as Prime Minister," he said, echoing a sentence once famously uttered by journalist Uri Dan about Ariel Sharon.

Michael Ratzon, who will remain in the 37th slot, said in response: "I accept the court's decision with sorrow and disappointment but I will respect it."
