Arabs and Jews have been clashing in the area adjacent to Peace House, which is the focus of intense Land of Israel activism ahead of a feared eviction operation there. A Jewish youth was seriously injured by Arab rock-throwers. Tension remains high Tuesday and IDF forces are on alert in the area.

windows, burnt vehicles and other damage in the vicinity of Peace House. Groups of Arabs and Jews pelted each other with rocks, leading to the arrest of two Jewish youths and an IDF deployment to prevent Arab terrorist attack on the Jewish community in Hevron.

Local residents told Arutz Sheva-Israel National News that the violence this morning began when a photojournalist turned up and incited an Arab mob to throw rocks towards the Jewish area. Hundreds of Jews responded in kind, which led to a general confrontation that included wounded individuals and extensive damage. One Jewish boy was seriously injured by a rock thrown from among the Arab mob. IDF soldiers, border guards and riot police responded to the situation with gas and stun grenades, eventually halting the clash.

A Land of Israel activist in Hevron's Peace House claimed, "The Border Guard forces only turned up 20 minutes after the riots broke out and threw stun grenades specifically at the Jews."

Following similar rock-throwing clashes Monday evening, several Arab-owned vehicles were set ablaze by Jewish youths. Extensive property damage to Arab stores and homes was reported as well.

A tense quiet, overseen by the IDF, was holding by Tuesday afternoon. The regional IDF commander declared the Peace House area a "closed military zone," issuing the order to residents of the neighborhood.

Hundreds of people from Judea and Samaria have been making their way to Peace House since yesterday to help prevent what they see as an illegal and immoral eviction of the Jews living there. Hundreds also expressed their protest by blocking Hevron access roads and other main thoroughfares in Judea and Samaria, including the Route 1 highway in the Jericho area. In clashes with police and the IDF, three people were injured and 30 activists were arrested.

Kedumim Mayor Daniella Weiss, who is at Peace House, said that "the government is exclusively responsible" for the clashes in Hevron, due to its decision to expel Jews from their homes in the Land of Israel.

Right-wing activist Itamar Ben-Gvir was kept out of Peace House by security forces. An IDF commander told Ben-Gvir to "stop being violent," with no explanation of what violence the commander had in mind.

"Violence is what you're doing to us," Ben-Gvir said, referring to himself, his supporters and perhaps to the Hevron Jews facing imminent eviction.
