Protesters gathered outside the IDF Army Radio (Galei Tzahal) headquarters in Yafo (Jaffa) on Thursday to protest the cancellation of a weekly show by poet and composer Dudu Elharar. Elharar's show, which was on for one hour every Friday afternoon, was the only nationalist content on the station, they charged. Protesters called on the management to allow non-leftist opinions to be heard.

Organizers charged IDF Army Radio with acting against Israel's interests by allowing only left-wing broadcasts. One broadcaster even interviews terrorist leaders on the air, allowing them to spread their message of anti-Israel hate, they said. “We came here to say enough is enough. Enough of the corrupt occupation of the media,” said activist Navah Koren.
Elharar's supporters carried signs calling IDF Army Radio “Poison Radio,” a play on the Hebrew words for IDF (“Tzahal”) and poison (“Ra'al”). Others carried signs calling to “End the corrupt leftist occupation of the media.”
