NU/NRP Politicians Tour Near Terrorists' Homes

by Gil Ronen

(IsraelNN.com) Knesset members from the National Union/National Religious Party and members of the NU/NRP list to the Jerusalem municipality toured eastern and southern Jerusalem Sunday to see the homes of terrorists involved in recent murderous attacks. The homes are slated for demolition but the process of destroying them is held up in legal red tape. The MKs kept from getting too close to the Arabs' homes however.

Land development activist Aryeh King stressed the importance of demolishing the homes, saying that "the Arab youngsters, if they see that we are not doing anything against [the terrorist's] family, then when they will get to age 18 or 19 they will think of doing the same." King said Israel should encourage the Arabs to emigrate to Jordan or Europe.

Asked if it is not too late do tear down the terrorists' homes, months after they committed their attacks, King answered that "it is never too late," and that such a step would cause the next terrorist "to think twice or three times" before attacking Jews.

The group also discussed the rampant illegal building by Arabs in parts of Jerusalem liberated in 1967. According to King, if this illegal building is allowed to continue it will wind up creating a single urban bloc from Judea up to the Mt. of Olives and Old city, and from there to Ramallah.
