Violent Crime on the Rise? Not Really, Says Haifa U Sociologist

(IsraelNN.com) Despite a recent spate of violent crime, a Haifa University professor says life in Israel is still far more peaceful than in the United States or Russia.

Even though it appears as if the incidence of violent crime in Israel is on the rise, Professor Aryeh Ratner says the actual statistical rate is not as steep as it appears to the average citizen.

According to Ratner, a sociologist, Israel is one of the countries with the lowest rates of homicide in the world, along with Canada, England and France.

In the above video, Israel National News TV interviewed Dr. Ratner to find out what the future holds for Israel.
