MK Effie Eitam (National Union) reacted with harsh terminology to the negotiations with Syria Friday, comparing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to an escaped criminal on the loose.

"There is great cause for concern… this is a cunning Prime Minister and above all a desperate one, you can close your eyes and see an escaped criminal [with the police] in hot pursuit," Eitam said on Israel National News' TV news.

"A criminal like that is willing to run down old ladies in street crossings, to run red lights, jump from windows, put a gun to one's temple and shoot. This is an escaped criminal fighting for his life and there is no one more dangerous than he is. And on the way to save himself he will throw everything into the grinder of personal survival: security, water, settlement and the Israeli society's solidarity," Eitam said.

"We have seen what happens to a Prime Minister who is an escaped criminal, it ends with bulldozers," added Eitam, who is a resident of Nov in the Golan Heights.
