(IsraelNN.com) More than 10,000 people came to celebrate Independence Day with the residents of the Binyamin region community of Migron, just north of Jerusalem, last week.

However, this was no ordinary celebration; the town of Migron is being threatened with evacuation under the Defense Ministry's "Outpost Deal." The agreement will eliminate new communities in Judea and Samaria to make way for a Palestinian Authority Arab state within Israel's current borders.

The celebration itself thus became a statement to the Israeli government of the grassroots support for the beleaguered community.

Migron was founded nine years ago by activist families who built their community with their own hands. Their intense love for the land and for their little town has created a ground swell of support among thousands of Israelis living throughout the Jewish State, making Migron one of the hottest points in the "Outpost Deal." 

And in support, activists built temporary structures so they, too, could stand with the residents of Migron.
