Days before the arrival of US President Bush, Jerusalem's municipality voted to change the name of a main square to 'Freedom for Pollard Square' in a defiant call to release the American Jewish captive arrested and sentenced to life in prison for passing classified information to a US ally.

Government member and Shas Chairman Eli Yishai attended, as well as members of Jerusalem's municipality, Manhigut Yehudit faction head Moshe Feiglin and other longtime Pollard activists including his wife Esther.
