Israeli security forces carried out extensive operations in northern Gaza and Ramallah Wednesday.
In northern Gaza, the IDF arrested six wanted terrorists and killed two armed terrorists who attacked troops near the town of Beit Lahiya. A rocket propelled grenade (RPG) was fired at the IDF soldiers during the operation, but missed its target.
A senior Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist was reportedly killed, though PA reports say he died in internal PA clashes. Three terrorists were wounded, definitely in fighting with the IDF
In Ramallah, a large-scale IDF operation is underway since before dawn. At the start of the operation the IDF ordered PA police off the streets ahead of a major operation.
Several terrorists opened fire on IDF troops, but failed to cause injury. Soldiers returned fire. At least nine wanted terrorists were arrested across the city in recent days – four in Bir Zeit, home to a large university built for the Arabs by Israel in hopes of fostering moderation.
Northeast of the city, the IDF uncovered several caches of weapons and ammunition Monday night.
