Israel’s Air Force killed two Hamas terrorists who were part of a Kassam rocket-firing cell in northern Gaza early Wednesday morning.

Another air strike hit a Hamas training facility in southern Gaza.

Four Kassam rockets were fired from Gaza Tuesday and five Wednesday - striking an apartment building and bringing the number of rockets fired in recent weeks to 275. Several Sderot residents were treated for shock Wednesday.

In other parts of Israel, IDF troops shot and wounded a terrorist who opened fire on their vehicle in Tul Karem near Netanya overnight.

Two Fatah terrorists were killed in arrest attempts. Omar Abdel-Halim, a member of the Al-Aqsa Brigades terror group and formerly part of Yasser Arafat’s private Force 17, was targeted for arrest in Ramallah. He shot at soldiers and was killed. Four others were wounded in that incident. Mohammed Marai, a terrorist who claimed to have established a new terror group named after Arafat (the Abu Amr Brigades – based on Arafat’s nom de geurr), was killed in a gun battle with IDF troops near Jenin.

Air Strikes Working to Reduce Kassams?

Arabic news reports cite a growing disagreement within Hamas as to whether or not to continue firing Kassam rockets, in light of the fact that continued Israeli air strikes on Hamas members and facilities are weakening the group’s ability to maintain power in the face of Fatah attempts to take over.

Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal, from Syria, told the British Guardian newspaper that the terror group will continue attacks on Israel regardless.

Hamas’ Haniyeh Goes Underground

Fearing being targeted by Israel or fellow terror factions, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has decided to severely limit his public appearances and go into hiding. "He is frightened by the Israeli forces," Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad told the AP. "He is scared of being assassinated [and] taking precautions."

A Friday missile strike hit a shack across from Haniyeh’s home used by his guards. He was not home at the time and the IDF said he was not the target of the attack.
