IDF Bone Marrow Effort Pays Off
(IsraelNN.com) IDF Colonel Benny Mor is the first member of the military found suitable as a bone marrow donor as efforts to save the life of a leukemia patient continue.
The Ezer Mizion organization has recently expanded its nationwide
bone marrow registry database to include some 10,000 members of the military.
As a result, Colonel Mor was found compatible, leading to additional testing and absolute confirmation that his bone marrow may save a life.
Colonel Mor expressed delight over the news, stating he is extremely pleased that he can play a role in the life-saving effort. He is expected to undergo the donation procedure in the coming days.
The Ezer Mizion bone marrow registry began in 1998, and has since gained international notoriety.
