Mofaz: Syria?s Announced Withdrawal Evades UN Resolutions
(IsraelNN.com) Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz asserted at a meeting with the visiting Jordanian foreign minister that the Syrian president’s pronouncements about withdrawal from Lebanon “do not coincide with [UN] Security Council resolutions.”
“This is evasion,” said Mofaz, “I hope that firm demands from the United States and France on the issue of full withdrawal from Lebanon up until the elections scheduled in May will be fulfilled.
