The Attorney-General, Avichai Mandelblit, has appealed to the State Commissioner, following a letter by the Justice Minister, Amir Ohana, arguing that he is not permitted to appoint another person as State Attorney.
"We're talking about a temporary solution," Mandelblit wrote. "This solution was already proposed in the past, after the termination of the tenure of the previous holder of the position, Shai Nitzan, before the current holder, Dan Eldad, was appointed."
