At the Provisional Finance Committee hearing chaired by MK Oded Forer, heads of private kindergarten organizations revealed that out of 10,000 kindergartens, 2,000 have already closed and tens of thousands of children remain without a framework.
MK Forer says: "In an age of uncertainty, government ministries have been able to double the uncertainty. There is no way to bring the economy back to work without returning education, led by kindergartens 0-3, to regular work, private bodies fill the space needed to return the economy to activity and must allow them to open as quickly as possible. The government ministries knew this day would come and yet failed to formulate timely guidelines."
MK Forer demanded that Treasury representatives return to the committee with an organized program to assist kindergartens aged 0-3 and at the same time with an organized program to find a full framework for all children up to the age of 9.
