At least ten Egyptian soldiers were killed in an explosion in the northern Sinai peninsula, near Bir El Abd.
The target appears to have been a military convoy. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has sent his condolences to the families of the soldiers.
