Russia’s prison service said on Tuesday it has registered more than 300 coronavirus cases. The Federal Penitentiary Service said 271 of its personnel and 40 inmates have tested positive for the virus.
Activists have warned the outbreak could quickly engulf Russia’s overcrowded prisons.
