The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal of the LGBT Task Force, demanding that the Israel Prize not be awarded to Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, former rabbi of Ramat Gan.

In the past, he has come under fire from LGBT groups protesting statements he has allegedly made categorizing people who identify as LGBT as having mental disorders.
