Petah Tikva Mayor Rami Greenberg has approved the City Council meeting online tonight to discuss the three-month exemption from property tax for businesses in Petah Tikva.

The exemption is valid from March 1 to May 31 and will be granted automatically. Such regulations will apply to the business sector, including offices, services and commerce, industry, hotels, workshops, car parks, and more.

However, certain assets listed in the regulations will be excluded and will not qualify for a discount or exemption from paying property tax. These include, among other things, bank buildings, insurance companies, pharmacies, food stores, optics stores or hygiene product stores and laboratories for repairing computers and mobile devices.

Holders of the property that are eligible for exemption who paid their property taxes in advance will receive a refund. Property holders who paid a municipal property account for the period March - April 2020: the amount of the exemption will be deducted from municipal property accounts from May - June, July - August.
