Israel Police have filed a prosecution statement against a number of suspects, residents of Gush Dan, who are suspected of committing a series of violent acts against a well-known business owner and his family. Among the incidents cited are shootings, grenade attacks, and arson of business premises and property belonging to the victim and his family.
Police investigative work revealed that the suspects believed that the victim stole a portable warehouse from them, which had been used as a drug laboratory where drugs, presumably cannabis, were grown. This led to a series of violent acts, including threats and physical attacks, including ongoing extortion. The suspects also demanded that the victim pay them a sum of several million shekels as a "penalty" for the presumed theft, which he refused to do.
The suspects were caught at the beginning of the month and their arrest was extended by the Tel Aviv District Court.
