Mayors of Ramat Gan and Hod Hasharon joined a growing number of municipal leaders who have decided to cancel local fireworks shows in honor of Israel's Independence Day.
Hod Hasharon Mayor Amir Kochavi said "this is an unnecessary temptation that [we should] pass on."
