Jewish Insider reported that the Senate approved the appointment of Mitchell Silk, a Hasidic Borough Park resident and father of eight, to the position of assistant secretary of the Treasury for foreign markets.
According to the report, Silk is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese and is an expert at Chinese law and finance.
