Mayor of Beit El Shai Alon commented on the newly-announced unity government agreement signed between Prime Minister and Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White Chairman Benny Gantz.
"We always welcome unity within the Jewish nation, but even when it is needed more than usual, it must not come at the expense of the future of half a million residents of the State of Israel. There is a historic opportunity to [safeguard] the future of the settlement movement and apply sovereignty," he said.
