The Western Wall Heritage Foundation announced that starting in the evening, the Western Wall will be divided into several prayer complexes at the required intervals.
Arrival at the Western Wall for prayer is restricted to residents for whom the Western Wall is only 500 meters from their place of residence. That is, residents of the Old City only. There are roadblocks at entrances to the Old City and the police do not allow entry to the Old City for those not residents of the Old City.
In coordination with the police, the entrance to the Western Wall will be via security inspection from the entrance from Dung Gate as well as from the entrance on David Street (the market).
At each entrance, a steward of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation will conduct a strict registration. Worshipers will enter according to schedule for a specified prayer time to maintain control.
Each worshiper will also have his temperature measured and must follow the guidelines, so that a worshiper arriving to the Western Wall plaza found with a fever or without a mask will not be granted entry.
