Hospital staff maintained continuous telephone connection with the family who were prevented from arriving. After her death, Kaddish was said next to her bed in communication to her family.
In the coronary intensive care unit, a 76-year-old coronavirus patient with multiple background illnesses died last night after being treated in Hadassah for two weeks and being on respiration and sedation for the past several days. Hospital staff allowed her family to be beside her in her difficult moments while wearing protective gear.
Meanwhile, the respiratory intensive care unit reported this morning that two patients who had been respirated and sedated were weaned from the ventilator and their condition stabilized, and are now treated in the regular coronavirus wards.
