Justice Minister Amir Ohana has welcomed the commencement of live broadcasting of Supreme Court proceedings, which begins today as a trial project set to run for a year.
"This is a welcome development," he said. "This should be the standard for all trial cases, except those that are conducted behind closed doors. This is the only way in which to achieve transparency in legal proceedings, and it will enable us to conduct better oversight of the legal system here."
