The heads of the Likud, Shas, UTJ, Yamina, and Gesher parties have appealed to President Rivlin, asking him to transfer the mandate for forming a government to the prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu.
"We, the heads of the undersigned parties, call on you, President Reuven Rivlin, to transfer the mandate to prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who has the recommendations of 59 MKs, just as, following the September elections, you transferred the mandate to form a government to Benny Gantz who had the support of just 54 MKs," the statement from the right-wing bloc reads.
