The Yamina party has released an official announcement:

"Gantz, it's not shameful to give in on your demand. In fact, as someone who heads a party with 17 mandates, as opposed to the right-wing bloc which has 59, it was neither logical nor legitimate to make that demand in the first place," the statement read.

"We call on you to display responsibility, to enter a national unity government headed by Netanyahu, to back down on your demand for the Justice portfolio and the Committee for the appointment of judges, and also to support the application of sovereignty over all the settlements, immediately, as a decisive majority of MKs of the future coalition supports.

"This is the essence of democracy."
