President Reuven Rivlin has apologized for violation of the Heatlh Ministry's COViD-19 safety rules. The violations concern the presence of his daughter at his Seder and his children's assistance in general. "Before Shabbat, I must apologize," Rivlin said.
"I have been reading the indignant reactions to the fact that my daughter is with me during the holiday. Since my wife Nehama passed away my children help me a great deal with personal matters and also as intermediaries in carrying out my duties as President when those who work in my office are on vacation. I appreciate the fact that it is difficult for people to understand my full daily schedule and this distresses me. Happy Passover and Shabbat shalom to everyone."
