A fire lit in the courtyard of a private home in Beit Shemesh has resulted in serious injury, in all probability from the burning of hametz.

First responders and paramedics from MDA evacuated 3 people to hospital with burn injuries and suffering from smoke inhalation. One is a 45-year-old man in serious condition who was taken to Tel Hashomer hospital. His wife, 40, is in moderate condition, and a 12-year-old daughter sustained mild injuries. Mother and daughter were taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.

A MDA responder said, "Fire fighters rescued the family members who suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation. They were provided with immediate first aid and taken in intensive care ambulances to hospital."
