Communications Minister Dudi Amsalem (Likud) has called for a cessation of all incitement against the haredi community, triggered by the coronavirus epidemic.
"Like most members of the public, I was appalled at the extreme language used by Rina Matzliah against the haredi community," he wrote on Twitter. "This is a time when we should be coming together, a time of 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no place in our society for such outrageous language directed against an entire community, especially when the vast majority of its members are following the rules and showing responsibility," he noted.
