In a joint operation between the Foreign and Defense Ministries, El Al, and a private chemical company, an El Al aircraft will soon land in Israel with millions of items of medical supplies urgently needed in the battle against the novel coronavirus. The equipment will include almost a million face masks, ventilators, and protective clothing. The Israeli Embassy in Beijing also assisted with the procurement effort and raised equipment from donors.
El Al will operate 2 flights a day for about a week until the operation is complete.
