The Defense Ministry continues the national effort to procure and manufacture medical equipment for the health system, with emphasis on ventilator machines.
According to Defense Minister Naftali Bennett's policy to establish local production capabilities, the Procurement Director and National Coronavirus War Technology Center mobilized Plate Medical Ltd., Baia Technologies Ltd., and Raphael to expand the existing production line of respirators made in Israel.
In a joint effort, 63 Israeli respirators have been manufactured, which were supplied to the Health Ministry during the past week, and hundreds of additional machines will be manufactured in coming weeks.
