The unemployment rate has risen to 24.6% as of today. Yesterday, another 7,290 people registered as jobseekers.
From the start of the coronavirus crisis at the beginning of last month, 866,907 people have registered as new jobseekers at the Employment Agency, 89.3% of them having been sent on unpaid leave from their previous places of employment. A further 6.6% were made redundant.
