At the Knesset Special Coronavirus Committee, Finance Ministry Director Shai Babad said they are considering closure in problem areas such as Bnei Brak; Committee Chairman MK Ofer Shelach: "The question is whether the economic patient won't die before the coronavirus patient. By flattening the curve you also lengthen it, prolong the suffering."

Treasury Director General Shai Babad: "It's about a month since the coronavirus spread in Israel and we've taken drastic steps that have not been taken since the establishment of the State. My task as Finance Director is for the economy to function. It came out in the media that the Finance and Health Ministries are fighting - absolutely not. The mission of the Health Ministry is to stop the virus, and our goal is to take care of the economy."
