The governor of the Bank of Israel Professor Amir Yaron has declared that the current economic crisis is unlike any other since the entire world has essentially been shut down except for vital industries. Yaron expressed hope that the crisis would begin to abate after Pesach and noted that his office has already begun drawing up plans for economic recovery once the crisis is over.
"While it's true there cannot be an economy without health," Yaron said, "there can also not be health without an economy."
