Minister Yariv Levin of the Likud accused the Supreme Court of leading Israel to anarchy and acting as if the state belonged to it. In an interview on Reshet Bet, Levin said that the court violates a basic rule of democracy, the principle of separation of powers, when it takes over the Knesset and takes over the plenum.
"With all due respect, President Hayut should deal with what the court is entrusted with. It is not entrusted with the administration of the Knesset. The court assumed authority to pass laws as if it were in the place of the people and in the place of the Knesset," Levin said.
